To download Binance, enter through the official Binance download page.[1]On Android use the official APK or Google Play (package name com.binance.dev); on iPhone use the App Store (App ID 1436799971, developer Binance Switzerland AG); on desktop use the official client.

Two things trip people up most: installing a fake Binance from an unknown download site, group chat or cloud drive, and confusing Binance.US with the global version.

Use whichever official entry matches your device. This routing table is the core of the article — pick your device first:

Android
Google Play / official APK

iPhone / iPad
Apple App Store

Before you download, remember one rule: enter only through an official channel, verify the identity info, and avoid any "special edition", "cracked" or "no-verification" version.

1. Where is the official Binance download entry?

The official main domain of Binance's global site is binance.com. To reduce the risk of landing on a fake site, start from the Download page on the Binance website, pick your device, then go to the official app store or client channel.

https://www.binance.com/en/download

This page lists the download method for Android, iOS, Windows and macOS, and also offers a Linux client and the Binance Authenticator (Binance's official two-factor app, which can replace Google Authenticator). Check that the domain in the address bar is binance.com — not look-alikes like binance-xx.com or binance-download.xx.

Downloading Binance is free. Any claim that you must "pay before downloading" or "pay an activation fee" is a scam.

A Binance official security article once mentioned download@binance.com as a backup contact for getting a download link. Whether that method is still active should be confirmed against Binance's current official guidance; even after receiving a reply, always verify the actual download address.

Which download sources can you trust?

Source Trustworthy? Note
binance.com download page ✅ Yes Official download page — use first
Google Play (package name com.binance.dev) ✅ Yes Official Android channel
Apple App Store (App ID 1436799971) ✅ Yes Official Apple channel
Unknown download sites, group chats, cloud drives ❌ No Likely a fake Binance or a malicious package
APKs sent privately by "support" in a group chat ❌ No Binance support never sends installers privately

2. How to choose between Android, iPhone and desktop?

The three platforms download differently — don't mix them up. This section only routes you; the detailed steps for each platform live in the dedicated guides.

Android: APK or Google Play

Android has two official channels: the Binance app on Google Play, or the APK from the official download page. Check the package name com.binance.dev.[2]

For the full download, APK install and "install failed" steps, see:

iPhone / iPad: App Store

On iPhone use the App Store and check App ID 1436799971 and developer Binance Switzerland AG.[3]If Binance doesn't appear in your App Store region, check the app's regional availability first — the full flow is here:

Windows / Mac: desktop client

For desktop, enter from the official download page and install the official client. Don't download "portable" or "cracked" versions from third-party software sites. For install and run issues, see:

If you're in the US

If you're in the US, you use the separate Binance.US app — it's a different app from the global version, so don't mix them up.

3. How to confirm you have the genuine app after downloading?

After installing, cross-check two hard pieces of info — more reliable than judging by the icon.

Check the identity info for your device

Device What to check
Android Package name com.binance.dev (Settings → App info)
iPhone App ID 1436799971, developer Binance Switzerland AG
Desktop Source of the download page, official desktop client

Icons and app names are easy to fake. Package name, App Store ID and developer info help you cross-check identity, but they can't by themselves prove the software is safe. On Android also check the install source and signature; on iPhone get the app through the official App Store; on desktop install only from the channel provided on the Binance website.

One more thing that's easy to misjudge: the developer name shown on Google Play and on the App Store is not the same — the two platforms use different entities. The App Store shows Binance Switzerland AG; the Android store shows a different entity name. Don't mark an app as fake just because the developer name doesn't match what you remember — the package name / App ID for each platform is what matters.

Use Binance Verify to check suspicious sources

If you receive a "Binance" link, email, phone number or social account and you're not sure it's genuine, check it with Binance's official Binance Verify.

Binance Verify has limits — don't treat it as a universal verifier. It can check websites, emails, phone numbers and social media accounts to see whether they belong to Binance.[4]It cannot check an APK's signature or an app's developer identity.

So to confirm "is this app genuine", cross-check official store source + package name / App ID + developer — don't rely on Binance Verify alone.

4. How to spot a fake Binance download site?

Stop immediately if any of these appear:

  • The domain differs from binance.com by only a little (extra letters, a hyphen, a different suffix);
  • It asks you to deposit, send USDT or pay an "activation fee" before downloading;
  • An APK / installer arrives through a group chat, DM or an unknown "support agent";
  • It asks for your password, SMS code, 2FA code, wallet seed phrase or private key;
  • It tells you to turn off your phone's security protection or trust an unknown enterprise certificate.

Binance's official download never asks for your seed phrase and never charges. Any flow that asks for money or your seed phrase to download is a scam.

5. FAQ

1. What is the Binance official website?

Binance's official domain is binance.com. All downloads go through https://www.binance.com/en/download. Be wary of any domain that differs by even one letter.

2. Does downloading Binance cost money?

No. The Binance app and desktop client are free to download. Any "download fee" or "activation fee" is a scam.

3. Can I download Binance without Google Play?

Yes. Download the official APK directly from the Binance download page and install it, checking package name com.binance.dev. For steps see Binance Android download.

4. What if Binance doesn't appear on the App Store?

Usually it's an App Store region restriction. Switch to an Apple ID in a region where the global version is available and look for App ID 1436799971. For the full flow see Binance iOS download.

5. What's the difference between the web version and the desktop client?

The web version runs in your browser with no install; the client needs to be installed. Both start from the official download page. For desktop install see Binance desktop download.

6. How do I tell whether a "Binance download" site is official?

Check whether the domain is binance.com and whether you reached it from the official download page. If unsure, use Binance Verify to check whether the URL is official.
